Since I took my trip, I think my MIL has gotten a little worse.

The Man told me that she had some really bad days while I was away. Bad days means that she was emotionally out of control; not all over the place but she gets extraordinarily angry for no good reason. He said she was freaking out one morning because he wasn't eating breakfast with her (he almost never eats breakfast with her).

But anyway, since I've been back she seems to be making up stuff more and her comprehension seems worse. Yesterday she didn't seem to know what the word "rabies" means. And she told The Man that the reason BIL the Younger got married is not because he wants to be married but because he wanted to have a ring on his finger so that women would stop bothering him. Of course this makes no sense, but she seems to be making up stuff like this a lot more lately. (If you don't already know, BIL the Younger is married to a lady in Haiti who is still in Haiti or possibly the Dominican Republic. He has been in her physical presence maybe a total of 50 days in 5 years. It is unclear whether the marriage has been consummated.)
