My House is More Empty Today

Today we buried Bill out by his favorite boulder in the yard. He's near where we buried G.G. four years ago.

Afterwards, I looked across the lawn and thought about how I wouldn't be walking down to our little orchard with him any more. How he would no longer jump up on the old children's fort that we inherited with this property. He liked getting love there. He followed us around like a dog when we were out in the yard and just wanted to hang out with us.

He enjoyed favorite cat status, being the only one we allowed to spend the night in bed with us.

He was so smart and so tolerant. All the other cats loved him because he would groom them and watch out for them.

14 years is a rip off.

Good-bye, Bill. You'll be missed.

Bill
