No One Really Cares

PREFACE: I begged Yoko to include me in her meme.

  1. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

See this is where I remember why I have a hard time answering questions. At first I thought about answering this with the name of the town/city where I would like to live (Jackson, WY), but then I thought maybe this question is more specific, like what sort of dwelling would I like to live in (modern log cabin). As you can see, I started to over-think the question, which is what I do with these sorts of questions. Anyway, probably about 8 years ago, The Man and I took a fantastic vacation out at the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. I fell in love with Jackson, WY which is a beautiful place but really expensive. Also I prefer to live in a house with modern conveniences. I like camping every once in a while but I wouldn't want to live that way. I'll say it right now, I don't want to live in a yurt. And my house would be one of those new log cabin designs with an open floor plan and lots of windows.

  2. What is your dream job?

Since I have zero ambition this is almost difficult to answer. I think my dream job would involve a lot of sitting and reading. Maybe in publishing or entertainment – reading manuscripts and scripts. A while ago I reconnected with a pal from college who owns an independent music label. He told me they were thinking of starting a book publishing division and I think he may have been hinting around to see if I would be interested but I sort of just let it go. I am dumb.

  3. How did you come to acquire the cats that you have?

OK, the short version of this is that all of our cats have come to us as strays. When we were living in Cinnaminson, NJ there was a bad feral cat situation in the neighborhood. We had a detached garage that the wild cats thought was a maternity ward. Every spring there was a new litter. We'd feed them and monitor them but we would let nature take its course and some of the kittens would die. Then we'd keep the ones that survived. Eventually we caught all the wild females in our neighborhood and had them spayed. I was just about to tell the specific story of each cat here but I think I will do that in another post

  4. Does The Man have any interest in writing a blog?

A long time ago when I started at Diaryland my blog was btchelicious.diaryland.com (NSFW). Around that time The Man started one too called blandman.diaryland.com (it doesn't exist anymore). He never really got into the groove of blogging. I think he mostly did it so that he could put up a background made out of porn. Anyway, he expresses no interest now and has little time anyway. I don't even think he reads my blog.

  5. Tell me a beautiful place to go hiking.

Oh there are so many places! Wyoming, Utah, California, New Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, on and on. But if you and the Lipster are thinking about somewhere close to Philly then the best recommendation I can give you is to take the drive down to Shenandoah Nation Park. See, I have a tough time recommending eastern PA because coal mining has sort of decimated a lot of the landscape, plus I suspect the hiking trails in PA to be somewhat dangerous (not the terrain, but rather the people). And as far as NJ is concerned, the Pine Barrens are really cool but the ticks are relentless and dangerous. Take a long weekend and drive down to VA. The camping and hiking are actually really nice.

Want me to interview you? Then
  1. Leave me a comment asking for questions.
  2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
  3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
  4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
  5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.
