You know what else is a "societal structure rather than a natural state?" Not killing other humans because you think they strayed into your territory.
OK, maybe that's a little exaggerated but my point is that as a developed species we are far removed from our "natural state" and we keep a lot of our "natural" urges in check, making rational decisions to do or not do so-called "natural" things. If it wasn't for "societal structures" then the world would be even more chaotic for humans than it is already. |
